Which Christmas tree will you choose?

Every year we increase the atmosphere in our home by putting up the Christmas tree. But why do we put up a Christmas tree every year?? Did you know that this tradition originated somewhere else? This is how the early Germanic people put up a Christmas tree decorated with apples and nuts to celebrate the midwinter feast.

Fortunately, we have a wide selection of cute Christmas decorations these days so we can leave the apples in the fruit bowl. But how to choose the perfect Christmas tree? And what are the different options?

You can read more about it in this blog.

A real or fake Christmas tree?

That depends entirely on the time of installation and the Christmas tree you want. It is possible to put up a real Christmas tree as early as November, but chances are it will be out of needles by Christmas. In contrast, an artificial Christmas tree will lose few needles and will always keep the same shape.

If you want, you could even leave it on all year round.

Why a real Christmas tree

The scent of the pine needles from a real Christmas tree is perfect for Christmas and makes the tree feel comfortable. Real cut Christmas trees are cut as late as possible to December 1, so you are assured of a tree that holds its needles for a long time. Choose a real Nordmann fir, it keeps the needles for a long time. Another popular species is the silver fir.

Both trees have needles that do not sting, making them very child friendly!

Why an artificial Christmas tree?

You are assured of a beautiful tree when you choose an artificial Christmas tree. Unfolding the twigs may take some extra time, but it’s worth it. Artificial Christmas trees are usually available in PE, PVC and snowy varieties.

For a nice full artificial Christmas tree choose a tree with lots of tips, these are the branches.

Besides the artificial tree and real tree you can always opt for a wooden Christmas tree. A wooden Christmas tree is very trendy and atmospheric during the holidays. So there’s a wooden Christmas tree to fit any interior.

When can you put down the tree?

As far as we are concerned, it does not matter when you put the Christmas tree in the room. Research shows that people who put up their Christmas tree earlier are often happier. A good excuse to put up the Christmas tree early.

Many families have their own traditions when it comes to putting up the Christmas tree. After all, Christmas is all about traditions? In these already dark days, we’re ready for a little light, so we put up our Christmas tree en masse in November.
