A lottery, why do we let ourselves go crazy to participate

It will happen to you, the whole street wins a prize and you’re just not competing for it lottery. You wouldn’t want that to happen to you. For exactly this reason many people start participating in a lottery. Because just imagine if you missed out.

Who doesn’t want to win that big cash prize? Right, imagine, the whole street wins a street prize and you just don’t enter this lottery. Can you imagine it.

It will happen to you, and isn’t this exactly what the lotteries are playing at?. Because this was also a reason for me to join a lottery two years ago. I wouldn’t want that if everyone in the street was cheering I’d be the one person who just missed out.

How many times have you won something in the lottery? And then you actually expect to win money, but how often was it a Tony Choconelly bar or a five euro HEMA coupon that you won?. But money, no you won’t practically win, but actually that’s your main goal.

That’s what it is with lotteries, you enter them for the big bucks that make you crazy on television. Every day a prize goes out, we hear them say, but why never with me? We participated in one of the lotteries where your money goes to the charities, but when I saw George Clooney in a commercial in December I thought, ‘I just don’t think that is a good cause.’ Very clever marketing but then give that money to charity instead of snaring an expensive famous actor.

Actually that was the moment that I thought, you know what, I’ll cancel this lottery again.

Now I was a little apprehensive because I thought that cancelling would be a very difficult process, but that was certainly not the case. I could easily cancel and got immediate confirmation.

What I am going to do next? The money that went to the zip code lottery every month now goes to my Netflix subscription, which is much more useful and enjoyable and at the end of the year I’d like to give the state lottery another try. Just taking part once and then also being able to see right away with lottery ticket in hand if I won anything and that chocolate…..I’ll buy it when I feel like it.
